This accommodation was tremendous. The facility is spacious, comfortable, and includes everything a traveler could need. The surrounding area is absolutely stunning, and the location strikes the perfect balance—it feels wonderfully remote and peaceful while still being close enough to stores, restaurants, and activities.
One of the highlights of our entire trip was the 30-minute walk in the rain to Kawayu Yakushi no Yu onsen on the Oto River. It was such a memorable experience and perfectly captured what made our stay here so special.
The owners were also lovely and incredibly responsive. We had a little trouble with the internet during our stay, and they came right away to help fix it.
We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a peaceful, beautiful place to experience the Kumano area.
There are really only two minor issues worth mentioning.
First, the traditional Japanese futons were a little too thin for my taller, heavier frame. Stacking two on top of each other easily solved the issue.
Second, there was no signage identifying the property, which made it initially a little difficult to find. Coincidentally, one of the owners made a beautiful wooden/epoxy sign while we were there and placed it by the main gate. He appears to be a talented fellow; he also made the tables inside the home.

Casa amplia y bonita de estilo japonés con 3 habitaciones grandes, jardín y parking cubierto. Buena comunicación con el anfitrión. Llegada e indicaciones sencillas. A 10 minutos en coche de Yunomine Onsen.
La ducha era antigua e incómoda. La limpieza es muy mejorable tanto en la cocina en general (sobre todo la nevera) como en la ducha.

sehr geräumiges, mit viel Liebe zum Detail renoviertes, praktisches Haus, gute Lage für alle Sehenswürdigkeiten der Gegend (Doro Kyo Gorge Boat River Cruise, Hongu, Kawayu Onsen!!)
wir schätzen auch die Waschmaschine mit sehr gut riechendem Waschmittel, den Trockner, und den fabelhaften Kaffee
