The island was gorgeous and the tent was very spacious and comfortable. There are only two accommodations - one tent and one cabin - on the island and the cabin wasn’t booked so we had the whole place to ourselves! The staff were so warm and friendly and took great care of us, down to making special juices for our daughter at meal times. The food was simple but very good, and everything was really well organized, including the early pick up time we needed to get to the airport on the last day. We were so grateful for all the care this took to make this a special experience. And we especially loved the island’s sweet little dog, DeMar, who joined us for every meal!
The place is clearly fairly new to visitors and there are some things they still need to set up, such as needing doorknobs on the bathroom doors. However, none of these small details really detracted from our ability to have a great time on the island!
The one thing we would want people to know is that the swimming isn’t really great off the island because there is so much coral around the beach area that you can’t really safely walk out to a swimmable area. We did find one spot where we managed to walk out to a deeper, clearer area but really needed water shoes or flippers to do so. We did also go for a tour of a couple other islands where we could easily swim right off the beach.
