This apartment, in a very short walking distance from the central railway station and within the ring that defines the heartland of the modern city, proved to be not only a hidden, rare gem of Nice, but indeed of our entire multi-regions vacation in Italy and France! The communications with the owner were as smooth as it gets, with virtually immediate replies in each and every question we had prior to our arrival, and during our stay. Especially the feedback we received with regard to parking near the accommodation proved decisive for our peace of mind throughout our stay. The guidelines to actually enter the apartment were very clear, very easy to follow, and the process very seamless for a very fatigued group of 5. Obviously, the apartment itself made all the difference compared to the other 2 respective ones we used during our holiday. I will just note that all 4 adjectives used by the owner in the title of the accommodation are nothing but absolutely true! And on top of these, I would also add “ideal for groups of 4-6 persons”! The amenities of the apartment left nothing to be desired. From the super-efficient central air-conditioning during 2 VERY hot days in Cote d’ Azur, to the virtually non-stop use/requirement of mild or hot water from every one of us five, during any imaginable hour of the day, to the efficient functioning of the fridge as a result of our never-ending quest for cold water and sodas once we would come back home. And the little balcony with a great view of the neighbourhood made us realize how much the laid-back mentality of the locals resemble to ours, when we seek some much needed quality time while at home! All in all, this apartment offered us (a family+ group of 5, aged from 58 to 26) everything we could have asked from a home away from home, and then some!
To be honest, this is NOT something I didn’t like; quite the opposite, as to me, it added to the charm of the stay: still I feel I should let everyone know that, by design, and by default, and EXCLUSIVELY for security reasons, the door of the old-style (but ALWAYS fully functional), traditional elevator used to reach the apartment, locks in with a very characteristic (but maybe unusual to youngsters) audio signal, which then triggers the elevator to start its movement. No need to panic or else; it’s ALL right!
