A charming old house from 15th Century restaured with care for all the little details. The host is the one who took care of the restauration and now manage the place entirely.

The house is very beautiful and impressive. It is well renovated recreating the original atmosphere with all the features. It is very clean and well maintained. It offers excellent facilities. The host is very friendly and knowledgeable.
Great views but the road to reach there is not good.

The Velev House is a must for anyone coming to stay in Melnik. The care in which the owners have taken in their renovations is obvious and it makes for a very special stay. It was fun to hear about the history too. And the breakfast - while simple - was delicious. We've never had a pancake quite like that. Melnik itself is special and a stay at the Velev house makes it even more special.
It wasn't entirely obvious if we were at the right location when we arrived. A sign in English would be helpful.
