They let me keep my bags behind with them till I could check in. The key is a Fob to beep in the front door and into your room. The people were nice and someone is there all the time, even if the window is closed. Not far from Haymarket where you can get the train, bus, tram. (I did walk into the city so if you dont mind walking it is doable)
Around the corner is food mostly American places which I found funny since I am from the US. It was Fringe Fest month so everything was super expensive and taken so they had the best price plus my own room was nice. I felt safe walking around. They do have washer and dryers did not look at how much. OH and if there are any unused items that wont fit in your suitcase they do have a donation box in the front area. Wifi was good for what I needed it for.
The strange thing is the bathroom light and fan turned on when you opened the door and you have to shut the door for it to go off but it does take time. I wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom usually I do not turn on lights. Wish there was a way to turn off (unless I just did not find it which is possible)
And there was a cleaning fee but this is not a normal hotel either it is student housing they convert during the summer when the students are gone.

Very clean and comfy! You get what you book and it’s a nice simple room. Lovely bathroom and well stocked. Very friendly staff at reception:)

Very good accomodation, near to the centre of Edinburgh and many sightseeings, it was very close to Haymarket station and that was a big plus for me, the staff was polite and helpful, my room was very comfy!!!
