Disappointing stay—far too expensive for what you get.

The property has a beautiful sea view and some truly lovely pieces of decor inside.

We paid £495 for a three-night stay expecting a restful getaway, but the property suffered from major neglect. There was a persistent musty odour throughout, and ventilation was incredibly poor—one living room window was painted shut, and two others were so overgrown with ivy that opening them let swarms of flies inside. The kitchen entirely lacks blinds or curtains despite facing the busy Viking Trail, which led to a major privacy issue when a stranger knocked on the glass after dark looking for someone else. Inside, the bed was highly uncomfortable, the sofa arms were soiled and threadbare, the towels provided were very thin and rough, and there is a sharp, pointed metal hook on the bathroom door that is a genuine safety hazard. Furthermore, the host promised the 2-foot-tall grass would be cut on Saturday morning, but no one ever arrived. This left the outdoor space completely unusable, made worse by an overflowing communal bin area with broken glass on the floor right next to the flat. The host has also failed to respond constructively to our private messages regarding these issues.
