The peace and quiet, plus the wildlife - loads of insects and birds. Watching and listening to woodpeckers was magical. Eating in the little conservatory with the door open listening to the wildlife was lovely.

The approach could do some serious damage to your car. We went in a Hyundai i10 and even that was touching the hedges on either side. They need trimming right back. Even with the note about the approach didn't prepare us for how narrow it was. We went in our daughter's car as it's smaller and if we had gone in our medium-sized SUV, would be lleft with a substantial repair bill for paintwork. Also, having the fridge on on arrival would help as we took a picnic for tea.
