Orchard

The location was good, it was in city centre just 10 mins away from Acropolis using metro. The room structure was beautiful and unique.

The property was not cleaned to the highest level especially the bathroom.

WE LOVED ORCHARD! The hotel is situated less than a 2-min walk from the Metaxourgeio metro station in a fabulous restored Athenian house. Each room is based on an 'orchard' fruit, painted in vivid colours and featuring a 'fruit' mural. The rooms (we have tested three to date) are very spacious with very large comfortable beds. There is also a bespoke wooden mezzanine with single beds accessible via a ladder for the adventurous (and great for kids!). The bathroom was super spacious and very clean. In addition to the colourful quirky, arty look and feel, what makes this place unique is the hospitality of the host. Vincent made us feel at home and went an extra mile to make us feel welcome and at home. When we turned up again after missing a flight, he was super helpful and managed to secure us a bed for the night despite being fully booked! The cafe Vincent owns downstairs makes delicious breakfasts, with home-made produce and great coffee, which you can enjoy on hand-made table and chairs outside. Opposite is a trendy bar which serves great food and drinks until late, really handy if you get to te hotel late at night (as we did). We are so happy to have given this new place a try as it's proven to be a great discovery! We recommend Orchard warmly and wholeheartedly and will definitely return there next time I am in Athens. Super nice and welcoming hosts! Great beds and overall a great atmosphere!

Everything was fine... The quarter might not be the best one in Athens but it seems to be emerging.

The host Vincent was superb and very welcoming. He has spend the last 2 years renovating this beautiful building into an amazing boutique hotel with the most comfortable beds, best ever shower and great fit out of the rooms with beautiful artworks around the hotel. The little breakfast cafe around the corner in the same building also run by Vincent was extremely good and the value for money for both the accommodation + breakfast was fantastic. To top it off a beautiful new Nespresso machine in the room and a nice fridge with water. Then Vincent was so kind for us to leave our luggage beyond check out time. The area can look a bit ‘crusty’ but you can tell it’s one of the upcoming areas in Athens and so close to a metro station and walking distance to the main center. We felt save walking around at night and can’t wait to go back. I travel a lot for work so I am super picky but I highly recommend this place as you won’t regret it and I am sure he will get busy as it is brand spanking new and opened up just a few weeks ago. Enjoy!
