Responsive staff. I needed an ironing board and they quickly provided me one. Self contained flat so great if you don't want to eat out all the time. Comfortable bed Complimetary hot drinks upon arrival.

- The parking is a pain and takes some planning - Kitchen section could do with having a removable/ washable mat or the carpet section removed as the water from the sink sits on the carpet.

Just needed a final clean Few crumbs in our room on arrival Dust on top of bathroom cabinet But very clean other wise !

Room was good, quiet and comfortable

Advertised as accommodation with free private parking on site reservation not needed, but once booked I messaged property to see if I can park before check-in. They said that was fine if you can get a space, as there is only enough room for 2 cars, resulting in us having to pay an extra charge for on street parking. Accommodation should be advertised as limited parking due to having more than 10 rooms between the 2 available spaces.

Staff were very helpful, its self check in but the process was quick and easy They were very communicative via the booking.com app and WhatsApp which was great The room seemed freshly decorated and was very clean, good tea and coffee facilities and having a small fridge in the room was a bonus It's right in the town centre so only a few minutes walk from everything if that which is fab!

Unfortunately just a few things that would make us not stay again: The toilet seat kept going down by itself so my partner had to stand holding it whilst trying to use the toilet, then when you sat down it fell down and whacked you on the back! The hot and cold side of the tap was labelled wrong so in the morning my partner burnt himself on extremely hot water as it was labelled as the cold side!! Unfortunately we barely slept a wink, the room was uncomfortably hot even with the windows open. When the windows were open there was very loud noise from outside including cars/dogs barking/seagulls screeching and drunks at local venues. I understand obviously these noises aren't the hotels fault but maybe the rooms could be equipped with a fan at least as the building itself is unbearably hot inside. The main problem was the other guests, we had an extremely noisy and inconsiderate couple in the room next to us blasting their TV at full volume til around 2/3am They were constantly going in and out of the room and the front door which shook our door in the frame as they slammed theirs shut. I appreciate that guest noise will happen, but it might be worth putting in some kind of soundproofing element when refurbishing these old Victorian buildings as every noise echoes and the floorboards are incredibly creaky and disturbing to other guests during the quiet of nighttime I did consider contacting the host via WhatsApp as they offer emergency contact via this means, but as they are remote I didn't think they would be able to do much. It's a shame as the room was decorated lovely and clean and bed was comfortable. Location is fab, if you're the type of person who sleeps like a rock and can't be woken by heat/any noise (which my partner usually is but even he struggled!) then you will be fine
