The surrounding neighborhood was excellent. Abundant market, nice restaurants, bars and lokantas full of life. The staff was very polite and friendly, english-speaking and francophone. The matresses were also very comfortable, the living room sofa was collosal and the air conditioning system excellent.
The hotel is something between a hotel and an aribnb flat. There is no reception except for the staff at the shery cafe, which closes after the evening. So, when the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night, there was nobody to refer to and the room phone had no plug to be connected to reach the... receptionist (Thank God it was someone who lit a cigerette.) There were no hooks at all all over the place, not even at the bathroom, so it was tricky with the wet towels. No trash bin and neither a mirror for 4 persosns except for the standard one at the barthroom, so 3 women had to queue outside the toilet to get ready.

Very welcoming staff and I can be hard to accommodate! I took over a corner of their restaurant most days for about 4hrs to work and no complaints.
Just a great bunch, good team, exceptionally great value food in the restaurant considering the huge rising costs of eating out now in Istanbul compared to five years ago.
Rooms are great to be fair, no moaning from me. We live in hotels and Airbnbs and this was ample enough while in a large city like Istanbul.
