A wonderful house in a wonderful location with wonderful hosts! The house is situated in a picturesque setting surrounded by mountains, fields, and forests. Although the house is over a hundred years old, it was recently renovated by the owners and looks absolutely stunning! It is incredibly cozy and comfortable inside. A tremendous amount of work went into the renovation, and everything is now new and well-maintained. Even though the sleeping quarters are shared, they are arranged so that everyone has a bit of personal space, ensuring a comfortable stay. There is also a large, beautifully designed common area on the ground floor. We opted for the traditional dinner as well, and it was a great decision—the food was of excellent quality (mostly locally sourced), and the dishes were delicious. We also ordered some sake after dinner, which was excellent. The hosts—a young couple—were incredibly welcoming and friendly; we are so grateful to them for such a wonderful stay!
The house is located quite far from the train and bus stations, so some guests might find it somewhat difficult to get there. This isn't a downside, but simply something to consider when planning your route. A convenient transfer can likely be arranged for an additional fee.

Casa tradicional japonesa preciosa. Los chicos que lo llevan son maravillosos, recomiendo además cenar allí porque preparan una cena buenísima y muy especial. Se puede aparcar en la casa sin problema. Está al lado del pueblo de Nagiso pero hay unos 30 minutos andando desde la estación, aunque hay taxistas que pueden acercarte a la casa. Sin duda es para quedarse unos días.

The owners are exceptional—outstanding hospitality and kindness. The property has recently been renovated with great taste and attention to the finest details; they have restored vintage items, giving them a new lease on life. The common room is a great place to socialize, and the owner, Masa, is always available for a chat in perfect English. The guethouse is located outside the center of Nagiso—about a half-hour walk away—but it is well worth the trip. I recommend booking dinner and breakfast; the cooking is simple and home-style, yet there is a clear focus on using authentic local ingredients. Highly recommended. Exciting
