Swimming or hiking, snowmobiling or cross-country skiing - no matter what time of year you visit, this lakefront home offers up the best of the Northwoods. Perched right on the point of Plum Lake, this charming getaway offers warm-weather visitors not only a lovely water view, but also direct access to the lake's many fish, including musky, bass, and walleye, from the private dock. Cast a line from there; use the public boat launch around two miles away; or slip into the provided paddleboat or canoe for a quiet afternoon on the lake. Or, head out for a little entertainment at the Plum Ski-Ters Water Ski Show, around three miles away. In the wintertime, hardy souls can try their hand at ice fishing, while the wiser members of the party drink hot cocoa by the wood-burning fireplace. Inside, you will find a light-filled space with stylish decor and lots of updates. Hardwood floors, an open floor plan, and pine-paneled walls all combine to create a modern cabin vibe. The full kitchen offers stainless steel appliances and ample counter space to please the chef. There is plenty of mealtime seating at the standalone island, or step out to your deck and dine alfresco if the weather permits. After a day of adventures, stream the latest release or use the free WiFi to upload the day's pics to social media. This cottage was one of our favorites to stay at. The location is great right on a point with lake on two sides. The cottage had most everything we needed and was clean. My husband was able to catch a couple fish off the dock and the bike trail was super close for a walk or a bike ride. Highly recommend if you looking for a quick getaway.

Beautiful home! Great views from deck. Water was clear and good swimming for kids. Fishing can always be better, but it was good. Had family of 8 and plenty room for everyone. Beautilful landscaping. Eagles galore!

Having spent years on this lake growing up I had high expectations for our family vacation with reservations of how the rental of 'Point on Plum' would deliver. Deliver it did! It is a well appointed home and decorated in a way that helps everyone relax. Every bed was comfortable and the bathrooms updated to include new plush towels. No air conditioning but we brought a box fan and window fan that served us well. No dining room table in the home to accommodate our family of 7, but mother nature cooperated so we enjoyed our meals on the beautiful deck that seated all of us. In the winter you would be forced to dine at the island, side table and family room furniture. I hate to admit or testify, but this home overdelivers from the photos they post. The outdoor spaces are beautifully manicured that encourage outdoor play, fishing, campfires and NATURE. The loons, eagles, ducks, fish, bullfrogs, water snakes, deer and mosquitos (pending the direction of the evening breeze). My childhood love of Plum Lake and the surrounding communities was embraced by my adult children and we all want to come back again and again. That says a lot for a family that spreads as far as Georgia!! Thank you for all the love and attention you put into restoring this home, and sharing with complete strangers so we too can embrace family and make memories that will last a lifetime.
