Unser Aufenthalt in der Villa D&D Valbona war wirklich etwas Besonderes. Wir sind spät am Abend angekommen und wurden trotz der späten Uhrzeit unglaublich herzlich von der Familie der Gastgeber empfangen. Die Familie war gerade beim Essen und hat sich trotzdem die Zeit genommen, uns zu dieser späten Stunde noch etwas zu essen zuzubereiten. Diese herzliche Gastfreundschaft werden wir definitiv nicht vergessen.
Die Unterkunft selbst ist neu gebaut, modern und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Alles war sauber, gepflegt und äußerst komfortabel. Das Parken war unkompliziert und das Frühstück war top. Besonders hilfreich fanden wir, dass wir die Waschmaschine benutzen durften, was auf unserer Reise sehr praktisch war.
Der Gastgeber, Vater und Tochter, sind absolut unkomplizierte und herzliche Menschen, mit denen der Umgang sehr angenehm und einfach ist. Außerdem sprechen beide mehrere Sprachen, wodurch die Kommunikation sehr unkompliziert war.
Die Lage in Valbona ist wunderschön und die Kombination aus der beeindruckenden Natur und der modernen, gemütlichen Unterkunft ist einfach perfekt.
Ein ganz großes Dankeschön an die Gastgeber und ihre Familie für die außergewöhnliche Herzlichkeit und den tollen Aufenthalt. Wir haben uns von Anfang an willkommen gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Absolute Empfehlung! 🇦🇱❤️
Kleiner Tipp für zukünftige Besucher: Bei der Fahrstraße, an der das Holzschild „Villa D&D Valbona“ steht, bitte nach links fahren. Nach etwa 50–60 Metern kommt ihr zu einem Holztor – dort befindet sich genau dieses wunderschöne Haus.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa D&D Valbonë and would happily return. The location is excellent, surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the Valbonë Valley and perfectly suited for exploring the area.
The hosts were incredibly kind and genuinely helpful. We especially appreciated that they allowed us to store our bicycles at the property two days before our stay, which made our trip much easier.
The accommodation was exceptionally clean – without exaggeration, it was one of the cleanest places we stayed during our four-week trip through Albania. The mattresses were brand new and very comfortable, the pillows were excellent, and the entire room felt fresh and well maintained. The area is also wonderfully quiet. We slept with the windows open and enjoyed a very peaceful night.
Some constructive feedback / room for improvement:
● Communication in person was a little challenging, as we do not speak Albanian or Italian. Translation apps helped only to a limited extent. On the other hand, communication with the owner via WhatsApp in English was excellent, quick, and easy.
● We cannot fairly rate the breakfast because, due to an unexpected illness of the hosts, breakfast could not be provided during our stay. They handled the situation very professionally by immediately refunding part of the accommodation cost, which we greatly appreciated.
● We stayed in the five-bed room on the top floor. Since there is no air conditioning, the room became quite warm during the day in summer, and we needed to keep the windows open throughout the night to stay comfortable.
● The outdoor lighting is very bright and remained on for parts of the night. As the curtains do not completely block the light, the room never became fully dark.
● The room has a glass door facing the staircase. During the night, the staircase lights appeared to be activated by a motion sensor several times, causing light to enter the room repeatedly. Blackout curtains for the glass door or adjusting the lighting sensor/timer would significantly improve sleeping comfort.
Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. The outstanding cleanliness, comfortable beds, peaceful location, and the warm hospitality of the hosts clearly outweigh these minor points. With a few small improvements, this accommodation would be close to perfect.

Nous avons aimé l’emplacement au calme et en pleine nature.
Difficulté de communication avec l’hôte car celle ci ne parle pas anglais, malgré sa gentillesse. Nous nous attendions à pouvoir avoir des informations sur les randonnées dans le coin ce qui a été impossible.
Les rangements inexistants dans la chambre familiale (armoire, table de chevet, ainsi que table et chaise sur le balcon)
