The receptionist was really kind, like really kind and so so sweet. I met and got along really well with other travellers as well, it was quiet spacious as a property which seemed so tiny from the outside.
nothing as such

Location is good, walking distance to Old Town. Note the hostel is actually called HanoiFriends, which will help you find it on Google Maps.
Very basic budget room with no windows and shared bathroom. Glass door let light in at night. 4 floors with no lift/elevator. Smoke alarm in hallway constantly chirping - needs new batteries.

"The staff are the nicest people I've met on my travels, done everything to make me feel welcome and comfortable, offered me a free coffee every morning and stopped to have a talk whenever I'd go down ..."
