The apartment was lovely and very spacious. It was great to have a little kitchen and lovely balcony to eat our meals on. The facilities at the complex were amazing, we especially loved the pool ! It was in a great location, easy to walk to the beach and main town, but also easily accessible to main landmarks like Mossman Gorge and Daintree Rainforest. We hired a car to get to these places and there was great on-site parking free of charge to accommodate this.

Lovely resort close to beach
Aircon didn’t work (should’ve checked straight away) shower tap broken but repaired that afternoon, hot water a bit intermittent, cheap non cotton tea towels and had to ask for hand towels and facecloths.

On the positive side, the bed was comfortable, the shower was lovely and hot, and the balcony and surrounding area were pleasant. The unit is also a decent size for self-contained accommodation and, overall, represents very good value. With better attention to cleanliness and a more convenient key collection process, it could be a great little stay. (see below)
Whilst the value of this unit was fabulous, unfortunately the cleanliness was not up to scratch. There were hairs around the toilet bowl, the shower grout and floor were very mouldy, and the bathroom mats did not appear clean. The bed and towels were presented so carelessly that I initially questioned whether they were clean, although I believe they were.
There was also an unpleasant food-like smell throughout the unit, which certainly didn’t give an overall feeling of cleanliness.
The key collection was also inconvenient, being at a separate location north of Cairns. I happened to be travelling from Cairns, but this would be very impractical for guests arriving from another direction. I actually drove straight past the collection point and thankfully my partner was able to collect the keys.
Great value, but the cleanliness and check-in process definitely need attention.
