Although the rented property was regarded as self-catering some breakfast items such as packets of muesli were provided and these were a nice extra much appreciated. There were also many other unexpected items provided such as biscuits, bottle of wine, large packet of crisps, etc which were all welcome. Normally when we rent holiday accommodation we would expect to go shopping the next day to buy things that were missing or in short supply (eg dishwasher tablets, washing powder and liquid, toilet rolls, etc, etc). This flat had all of those and more so we could start our holiday from day one. The flat's central position to all amenities Swanage has to offer and to the many walking trails in the Isle of Purbeck made it an ideal base for a holiday. Finally, the owners of the property were highly responsive to our few queries by phone text and we couldn't have asked for better hosts.
The flat left nothing for us to argue about because everything that was in the owners' ability to to set right was perfect to begin with. I accidentally broke a cafetiere and it was replaced almost immediately.

Great location, dedicated parking space, clean, newly decorated, very well equipped. The welcome basket was very thoughtful. Coffee machine was great. Quality linen and towels.

The location was perfect, plus free parking space at rear; 2 mins to the beach, 5 mins into town. Everything was clean inside, comfy beds, welcome basket, essentials like tea, coffee, sugar, milk, and a filter jug for the water. 2 hairdryers very useful as 2 females were here, and hair straighteners! Who thinks to that kind of detail!? A real bonus was having the little balcony doors to open and let the fresh air in and watch the sunrise if you chose to! Great communication from the hosts too.
Hard pressed to think of anything to be honest. The temperamental balcony doors were explained. I didn't like leaving! 😆
