The location was ideal, with restaurants nearby, food street right outside, breakfast (tea and parathas) available 24/7 in close proximity, a laundromat nearby and a general store at the corner. Also, the guest house was 10 mins away from Centaurus Mall and 20 mins drive from Lake View Park. The price for room rent was reasonable.
The staff response wasn't ideal. I was informed that although the room rent was reasonable, that there is a Rs. 1,500 per night extra added charge to the room rent for AC. When I agreed to the charges and would turn the AC on, on 2 or 3 separate instances they had turned off the AC electric breaker from downstairs and I'd literally have to go down and tell them on every instance to turn it back on. Furthermore, the WiFi signals were very weak in the room that I stayed in (Room 101), and although the cellphone was connected to the WiFi, the TV (Smart TV) not only did it not have cable, but the wifi had some connectivity issues. I reported the issue in the first half an hour of my stay, but the issue remained unresolved till our exit 2 days later and we could not enjoy the smart TV in any capacity. Additionally, there was no housekeeping done for the 2 nights that we stayed there. We literally had to take the dustbins and leave them outside our rooms and tell them to come and collect the dustbins and empty them out. Additional information for those staying there, as far as toiletries are concerned we were given one small bar of soap and one toilet roll. Lastly, although parking was available and we were fortunate enough to park right outside the guest house, it was outdoor parking and felt unsafe as I had to constantly check on my car throughout the night.
