The location was great, the bedroom was clean and soon cooled down once we opened all of the windows and the bed was very comfortable. The host was very pleasant and approachable and he was very quick to respond to all of my questions.
As soon as we walked in we were hit by a blast of hot air, the house was like an oven. The shared kitchen looked like it’s a dumping ground, all the worktops, the hob and the sink were dirty and there were odd bits of carpet covering half of the floor. The shared bathroom was also very grubby, the sink was filthy and the bath wasn’t particularly clean either. I realise that we didn’t pay a lot for the room but I would have still expected at least a basic level of cleanliness. There were no other guests staying whilst we were there.
There were no facilities in the bedroom, nowhere to hang clothes, unless you count the 3 coat hangers hung on the curtain rail, and a bedside lamp.
