Great Location, exactly what’s promised, simple and clean and a nice welcoming athmosphere. View from bathroom is the best :)
I didn’t mind but fourth floor would be a lot with heavier luggage. Not for the summer heat as under roof and no air con. For @25degree Celsius it was fine

The location is good, staff was helpful, nice to have a fridge, microwave, plates and such, and laundry machine available, internet was OK.
One morning I woke up with bites in my leg and was concerned it was bed bugs, after looking things up on Internet and showing the bites to people at the course I was attending. I wrote the host, but he said it was not possible because they had bought all furniture new just 2 months ago and an extermination company was hired. Still, I felt uneasy. He was responsive, but did not show empathy. He said he would send me two new pillows, and a professional company would check the room, but that never happened. He lives in Brazil, so manages everything through local contacts, which is fine, but impersonal.
The apartment consists of three rooms. The room I was in (Sintra) is next to the bathroom, so I was woken up every time someone had to use it. The room has an open window that communicates with the building's staircase, so every time people got in, both guests and people living in the building, I could hear it as it got quite noisy and that disturbed my sleep. As mostly young people stay at this apartment, they came back very late, while I had to get up early for the course.
The apt. is on the 4th floor, no lift, steep stairs. Definitely not for someone who has trouble with stairs.
