We really liked the apartment itself. It was clean, comfortable and looked exactly like the photos, which was great. The Wi-Fi was also very good. The building had excellent amenities, particularly the rooftop pool and gym, which were both really well maintained and convenient to have on site. The location was also very convenient for getting around Los Angeles. Overall, the apartment and facilities themselves were excellent.
The main issue was the difficulty accessing the property when we first arrived. The check-in process relies heavily on an app (which is then relying on you having mobile data!), including access to the parking and building, but the app doesn't work in the underground parking area due to the lack of phone signal. We were only able to get into the parking garage because another resident happened to be entering at the same time. We then had a similar issue accessing the lift, as we didn't yet have the key and had to rely on someone else using it.
Once we had the key, access was fine, but the parking arrangements remained unnecessarily confusing. The button needed to open the parking gate was hidden around the side of the gate, and the instructions provided by the host were not clear enough. This resulted in us being stuck at the gate on more than one occasion, with other drivers becoming frustrated and beeping at us.
There was also very little information provided about the building and its facilities, meaning we had to work out ourselves where the gym and pool were and how to access them. Given the cost of the accommodation, we were also surprised that basic items such as tea, coffee and dishwasher tablets weren't provided. Overall, the apartment itself was very good, but the access arrangements and lack of clear information significantly detracted from the experience.
