Do not stay here - not worth the money - unsafe
It was clean and pretty close to Pier Park and the beach
We are writing to formally request a full refund of the amount paid for our stay due to significant issues with the property that meant it was not as advertised and did not meet the standard reasonably expected from the listing.
The property was advertised as a “gorgeous coastal home with outdoor dining,” but unfortunately, the reality was very different. The property is old, uncared for and situated in a run-down neighborhood, the yard is significantly overgrown with weeds, and the advertised “pond” is essentially stagnant standing water. While the property was clean, it was clearly not as represented in the listing.
More seriously, we also experienced water leaking into the property, when it rained, which further affected our enjoyment and comfort during our stay and is a significant concern from both a maintenance and safety perspective.
Had the property been accurately represented, we would not have chosen to stay here. The combination of the property being materially different from its advertised description and the water leak means we do not believe the accommodation provided was of the standard we paid for.
Given these circumstances, we are requesting a full refund of the rental amount. We believe this is a reasonable resolution considering the substantial difference between what was advertised and what was actually provided, as well as the maintenance issue we encountered.
