If you want to experience authentic Portuguese village life, this is the perfect place. I was grateful to escape the bustle of Porto and enjoy the fresh mountain air and peaceful surroundings.
The owner was very responsive on WhatsApp and available whenever I needed assistance. The house is spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped, with a kitchen for cooking and a washing machine for longer stays.
Nearby Soajo offers a local market, traditional restaurants, historic landmarks, and beautiful scenery. The surrounding area provides endless opportunities to enjoy nature, and it's also a great base for exploring Gerês and other charming towns in northern Portugal.
A wonderful place to slow down, unwind, and experience a different side of Portugal.
It didn't bother me - but there's no wifi so make sure your have local phone service. Or just enjoy being off your technology.
Also not bad- Make sure to ask about the water heater. It's easy once you have instructions.
Bed could be more comfortable. Pillows are thin. Need update.

Americo and wife offer a beautiful and tastefully renovated apartment with all mod cons. Slept like kings and queens on a great mattress before plotting our days out/lunches/dinners etc. to Arcos de Valdevez, Soajo, Gavieira and hiking parts of the GR50. We absolutely loved our time here! Thanks for your hospitality guys but thanks mainly for providing such a uniquely private place away from the "madding crowd! Regards A + O beijos!

Sim gostamos muito da decoracão o colchão era excelente dormimos muito bem a casinha em si espetacular com todas as condicoes para cozinhar , nada a reclamar . O senhor Américo muito atencioso disponivel para tirar todas as dúvidas.
