Completely uninhabitable due to repeated water shutoffs, total power loss, and terrible customer service
Extremely disappointing stay – severe utility cuts, poor hygiene, and unprofessional management
Review:
Our stay at Asquith House was deeply frustrating and fell far below acceptable standards. I would strongly advise future travelers to look elsewhere.
*Check-in & Key Issues:* Upon arrival, the host provided only one key and refused to give a second one, claiming the booking was for a single person and demanding an extra fee for an additional guest. Ironically, when my relatives stayed here two weeks prior, they were given two keys without any issue.
Hygiene & Apartment Smell: The flat had a very unpleasant, damp smell throughout. We discovered the host was storing wet towels directly on the sofa and armchairs.
*Loss of Water:* On our very first night, the water was completely cut off at 3:00 AM. When I called the host, he turned it back on, claiming it would be the "last time." However, the exact same water cut happened again on both the second and third nights. Each time, I had to call him repeatedly to get the water restored. Instead of apologizing, the host accused us of "consuming a lot of water"—despite the fact that we were out of the apartment almost all day. He even threatened to charge extra for water usage, which is completely unreasonable.
*Loss of Electricity:* To make matters worse, the apartment lost electricity entirely for our last two nights. The host told us he would check it and get back to us, but demanded that we wait around the building for him to arrive, stating he would only look into it "tomorrow or after tomorrow."
*Zero Customer Care:* Throughout these major utility failures, there was zero proactive communication. The host never checked in on us, never followed up to see if the water was back on, and provided no updates regarding the electricity
