Since I chose an inexpensive room, it was a pared down, simple space. However, it was located right across from the restroom/bathroom, which was convenient.
I encourage travelers to keep their eyes on this hotel because it is positively evolving in both design and hospitality.
I have stayed here several times and the staff recognize me and they are very nice.
While this is not a hotel for everyone, for example, in the less expensive rooms, their ceilings reveal a kind of tight lattice work that makes for a not entirely private space but helps with airflow, the higher grade rooms have sets up akin to a traditional hotel with more private space.
Not all the available rooms are posted on general online booking platforms. So potential guests would be wise to text the hotel to see if space if available. I have had luck with this approach and I was also able to extend a stay for at least another day by asking in-person about availability.
The staff is very nice and appealing; they sport some of the most vital and expressive hair in New York City.
The hotel is a work in progress. Like many lower-budget hotels, the otherwise friendly and nice guests tend to cause the most of the wear and tear on the property. I see and experience this firsthand as a guest. Maybe I even unconsciously contribute to it.

Era lo más barato que se puede conseguir en NY
Muy mala aislacion de sonido entre piezas. Cuando llegamos nos dijeron que al check out podíamos dejar las maletas guardadas. Y el día del check out nos querían cobrar por eso. Ni siquiera estaban de acuerdo respecto a esa tarifa. Un empleado nos dijo 25 dólares y otro 30.
