I absolutely loved my stay at Ceylon Salt&Soul and felt at home the moment I arrived. The staff is wonderfully relaxed, friendly, and down-to-earth, creating an effortlessly welcoming vibe.
The service hits the sweet spot: attentive, personal, and helpful without ever feeling intrusive.
The private terrace is huge—perfect for slow breakfasts, stashing surfboards, and drying wet gear all at once. I also loved spending post-surf afternoons in the garden hammocks under the shady trees. It’s already a lovely sanctuary, with even more potential to bloom over time.
Thoughtful touches like an in-room kettle for early coffee and access to a shared fridge make a big difference, especially for longer stays. Plus, the included breakfast is a great bonus.
Location-wise, it’s ideal: just 3 minutes to the beach, a less than 10-minute walk to the Pottuvil Point surf spot, and a small local shop nearby for everyday essentials.
Ceylon Salt&Soul isn't just a place to stay—it’s a place you genuinely hate to leave. I’d come back and stay here again!

Alloggio in una posizione meravigliosa e con un’atmosfera davvero piacevole. La camera è semplice ma perfetta per trascorrere qualche giorno. Il proprietario e il ragazzo che lavora lì sono adorabili e sempre pronti ad aiutarti in tutto.
Buona colazione e spiaggia perfetta per fare surf. Abbiamo avvistato diversi elefanti nei pressi della struttura perché il posto è immerso nella natura, molto diverso dalla città di Arugam Bay che è molto più turistica. Se cercate tranquillità e natura, questo è il posto perfetto.

I stayed in three different places around Whiskey Point and even if I liked all of them, this was by far my favorite!
The room and bathroom were simple and very clean, the walls freshly painted. It had a simple fan which was (surprisingly) enough to beat the heat and the few mosquitos. I loved my own little terasse with the view in the garden full of palm- and mangotrees. There is a kitchen you can use, which I really enjoyed.
Sri Lankans are very accommodating hosts in general, but these guys vere outstandingly great. They offered me drinks and snacks, asked for breakfast preferences (and nailed it), spontaneously invited me to crocodile watching, picked me up und dropped me off when I asked for it, helped me to book my bus to colombo, shared their tea with me, cleaned the compound vigorously, showed me how to cook rotti, offered to buy stuff for me when they went into town and tried to fullfil wishes I didn't even know I had.
This place exceeded my expectations and I will absolutely come back next time!
