The stay at Eureka was amazing. It is hosted by a very kind and passionate young couple. The onsen is simply perfect. We bathed almost 2 times each day. The futon bed were very confortable. In fact more comfortable than in some starred hotel. The room for 2 was small but very cozy and we could hear the rain falling out of the window and drifting us to sleep. We will come again if we have the occasion.

Many thanks to Ken and Tomo for a warm welcome and wonderful hospitality and for useful local information. I couldn’t have felt more comfortable and at home. The location is ideal for folks cycling the mountain bike trails or doing the awesome Norikura Skyline ride. The private Onsen is simple and effective. The guesthouse has all the basic facilities you’d need if you’re self catering and some simple meals are available from the shop and you can pay by card - very handy if like me you didnt have any cash! Lovely simple Japanese style rooms and comfy futon mattresses. Washing machine a bonus. I stayed two nights - on entering the park and leaving a few days later.
Nothing not to like . Although travelers be warned there are limited options for eating in the area if you don’t have cash!
