The cottage is the ideal base for walkers, with numerous footpaths directly from your front door. You’ll also be within easy reach of the Kent Downs National Landscape and the High Wealds National Landscape, with their network of tracks and trails. A short stroll (less than 0.5 miles) brings you to the centre of Headcorn, where you’ll find a good range of independent shops and eateries. Nearby attractions within 15 miles of the property include Bodiam Castle, the National Trust’s Sissinghurst Castle Garden, and Leeds Castle, along with many vineyards dotted throughout the surrounding landscape. For a day at the beach, Camber Sands is just 25 miles away.

The single-storey cottage is set within the grounds of the owner’s listed manor house and has electric gate access. Inside, the holiday home is bursting with personality, with exposed beams, wooden doors and window frames, artwork on the walls, and gorgeous soft furnishings. At the heart of the home is a bright, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with a vaulted ceiling and exposed trusses. Spend time here, rustling up a delicious dinner for two in the sleek kitchen, sharing a bottle of wine at the dining table, or snuggling up on the sofa to watch a movie on the Smart TV. When it’s time for bed, retire to the attractive king-size bedroom with its antique French bed, pretty linens, and ample storage for all your holiday attire. Rounding off the cottage is a modern en-suite bathroom.

A door from the main living space opens onto your private cottage garden, where you’ll find a table and chairs for enjoying a morning coffee whilst listening to the birds in the surrounding trees. Guests are also welcome to explore the picturesque, shared grounds (shared with the owner of the property), which include a lake, orchard, meadows, and fields. The property has private parking for one car.
