About this house rental
We are not available in person, but happy to make recommendations via Airbnb messages or Stef can be contacted via phone in an emergency.
Walton-on-the-Naze is a proper Essex seaside town - a long pier, sandy beaches lined with pastel beach huts, and a working high street that has been drawing summer visitors for generations. The pier is the second longest pleasure pier in the UK, with tenpin bowling, funfair rides, arcades and sea fishing off the end, and the beach directly below it is consistently the highest-rated attraction in town.
For food, Yates Fish Bar on Old Pier Street leads the fish and chip options with over a thousand reviews, while East Coast 5 on Old Pier Street is the standout independent restaurant - a global fusion menu using local Essex and Suffolk producers, with live music every other Friday and a genuinely upscale feel for a coastal town. Whites Pie and Mash Shop on the High Street is the place for a proper traditional lunch. High Tide on the seafront is the coffee shop of choice for breakfast and lighter bites.
Selfcatering
Beyond the pier and beach, The Naze is the other reason to visit - a wild headland of cliffs, coastal paths and nature reserve at the northern edge of town, managed by the Essex Wildlife Trust with a visitor centre and café. Frinton-on-Sea is a short drive for a quieter, more genteel stretch of coast, and Clacton is equally close for a more traditional seaside day out.
The whole space will be yours to enjoy with family & friends alike!
Some houses have a view. This one has the pier, the sea, and the whole sweep of the Essex coast laid out in front of it - and from the top floor workspace, it's the kind of view that makes it very difficult to get any actual work done.
Spread across three floors and recently renovated throughout, this is a proper seaside townhouse: striking feature walls, stylish furniture, and enough space for 8 people to spread out comfortably without feeling on top of each other. Three double bedrooms and a twin give groups and families real flexibility, and the layout across three floors means everyone gets their own corner of the house when they need it.
The top floor is the standout space - a dedicated workspace with those pier and sea views, which works just as well as a quiet reading room or somewhere to watch the sun go down over the water.
Outside, a small rear deck gives you a private outdoor space to start the morning with a coffee before heading out. The beach and pier are 200 metres on foot, and Walton town centre is less than 5 minutes for cafés, restaurants and shops. The train station is a 2 minute walk for car-free arrivals.
September brings a quieter, unhurried side to Walton - the beach is less crowded, the light over the water is softer, and the town feels more like itself. For guests who prefer the coast without the peak season crowds, it's arguably the best time to visit.
On-street parking is available nearby, with a paid car park also close by for larger groups with multiple vehicles.
