Charming Cottage on Grand Cove in Dennis, MA. This cottage is perfect for a couple looking to get away and enjoy beautiful sunsets on Cape Cod. Facing West this cottage is exposed to sunsets over the cove.
The Space:
Nicknamed "The Yellow House" or the "Fisherman's Cottage" This charming 1930s cottage in the historic district of South Dennis offers a unique waterfront retreat on the Bass River. The interior features warm knotty pine walls and hardwood floors, highlighted by a vaulted wood ceiling in the living room. Relax by the electric fireplace, enjoy the flat screen television with cable, or take in the stunning sunset views over the water. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your culinary needs. Step through the glass sliding doors onto the enclosed porch, which serves as a delightful dining area. Outside, you will find a private outdoor shower, a barbecue grill, and access to a shared 185 foot pier and dock. With a small beach just steps away for launching kayaks or canoes, this property is a true haven for water enthusiasts. The cottage includes air conditioning and wireless internet for your comfort.

Pet Policy: All dogs must be leashed at all times outside. Please be courteous of others, dogs must be well trained and not disturb others during quiet hours. Dogs and Cats must have current rabies shot, and flea and tick prevention. A non-refundable pet fee of $100 per pet applies. If bad reports from neighbors of barking and howling, you must be able to respond immediately. Guests arriving with pets may be asked to leave the property if pet is causing issues with the neighbors. There are no refunds for stays that have been asked to vacate. This is a tight spaced community. Vacationing with a pet is a big commitment and we strictly enforce this policy. Please bring good family pets. More than one pet? This will need an email from the owner that pet fee was paid and pets were disclosed to the owner inside your reservation portal. Always provide your pets breed as we screen the 10 most aggressive breeds from staying with us.

Just a great location, easy to get where we wanted to on the Cape. The little house is fun, love the water access, watching the horseshoe & fiddler crabs and birds. House is comfortable and well supplied.

Nice location. The cottage is near a lot of shops on Main Street and only a few minutes away from fun bars, restaurants and West Dennis beach.
The cottage is definitely outdated, but served its purpose. When I first got there, I vacuumed because there were several large dead bugs and the floor was really sandy. Before I left, I vacuumed again and I think I probably left the place cleaner than when I arrived. The outdoor shower was a nice addition! Water pressure was great, FYI that the cold knob turns on the hot water. The owner came by to say hello and see if we needed anything. Bring water shoes! The oyster shells can be sharp.
The cottage is right on the bay which is nice, so you are only steps from the water. The little beach is a shared public space, just an FYI. The cottage is dog friendly which is nice. My dog loves to swim so it was perfect to be steps from the water, especially at high tide. The area did seem very dog friendly…just be aware a blonde woman pulled up multiple times a day and let her off leash unruly Belgian Malinois run around and run into the water and around the cottages. The dog did NOT listen to the owner, growled at my husband and definitely made my dog nervous! He had no leash or collar and was very large. Just something to look out for.
