Enjoy rambles along the banks of the River Wye and seek out The Warren, a pretty spot for wild swimming. Browse the craft shops set within the grounds of the ancient castle and pick up a souvenir of your stay. Discover the stunning scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park by foot or cycle with the peaks of Pen y Fan (26 miles) and The Skirrid (23 miles) within reach. Both the Wye Valley Walk and Offa’s Dyke Walk runs through Hay-on-Wye offering traffic-free trails. Not to be missed is the ancient city of Hereford with its imposing cathedral, ruined castle and cider museum.
