Welcome to A Bird House, this enchanting island home offers a perfect retreat on exclusive Bald Head Island. A Bird House perfectly accommodates 8 (1 K, 1 Q, 7 twins) in 4 bedrooms and 3 baths to include a unique bunk room for the kids.
Our home is nestled in the woods on the fourth fairway with a marvelous screened-in porch overlooking the golf course with rockers and outdoor dining. We have a fully equipped kitchen for the gourmet vacation cook. The dining and family rooms provide central meeting area and include a flat screen TV, games, books and movies for family entertainment.
The first-floor primary bedroom has a king bed with bathroom suite with shower and separate Jacuzzi tub for a relaxing soak. The queen bedroom also has a private bath; the third bedroom has twin beds with a cute trundle, and the nautical bunk room must be seen. The “kids” bedrooms share a full bathroom. The home also includes a garage with two golf carts to take you around the island and numerous bikes. And there is an outdoor shower that is insanely refreshing after a beach day, long bike ride or run.
This is perfect home for two families with kids with porch swing, hammock, fans and lots of rockers to reconnect. A Bird House is wonderfully relaxing for kids and adults alike at this Bald Head Island retreat.
BHI is a secluded island located two nautical miles off the coast of Southeastern North Carolina with over 10,000 untouched acres of beach, marsh and maritime forest preserves.
A Bird House is centrally located on the island - access to the beach, the marsh, the market, the club, the lighthouse, the harbor are all easy to get to via bike, cart or foot.
Notes: while A Bird House sleeps 12 people, she is best suited for two families with 4 adults and 4 kids. There is a house being built nearby, crew hours are limited by the contractor ferry hours and we have found the weekends and evenings are quiet.
