This is a wonderful place to stay! It has easy access to the highway and Rapid City, yet was so quiet we didn't hear any traffic or any of the neighbors. The yard is beautiful with a huge deck, perfect for that early morning coffee. The house is huge, with plenty of space, and the rooms actually felt bigger than the pictures showed. The beds are comfortable, and the hot tub was a nice bonus for the end of the day. I have read some reviews which cautioned that the thermostat cannot be adjusted. This is true, but was never a concern. Upon checking in I received a text with the number in case we wanted the thermostat changed, but we never felt the need. No matter the outside temperature, the inside temperature was very comfortable.
This is an excellent place to call home while you are touring the Black Hills!

This is such a beautiful property - secluded but easy access. The house is amazing, the rooms look bigger in-person than from the pictures. The deck outside is lovely, with so many options for seating and lounging. The bedrooms are huge, the beds are comfortable, and with three full baths and two half baths, no one ever needs to wait to use the restroom!The hot tub was a nice touch, even on warm evenings. It's a perfect way to I wind after a busy day of sightseeing.Before booking I read how several reviewers mentioned the lack of direct thermostat control. This is correct, but as soon as we were checked in I received a text with the number in case we wanted the temperature changed. But not once during our stay did we need to ask, and the weather varied a lot from day to day. The house was comfortable, whether it was a hot day or a cool one, so don't let this make you nervous to book.In short, it is a wonderful place to call "home" and I would definitely stay here again!

Great cozy cabin in the woods. Close to down so myself and all 7 of boys could run back and forth. Everything was clean and inviting. Host was wonderful!

The beds were amazing! Beautiful views and turkeys every day. House is big. The fridge is old and needed some attention. Light bulb out in living room. Minor issues. I'd really like to see a typed and covered detail list as how everything works and what is expected when you leave instead of little paper notes everywhere. All the VRBOs I've stayed in has always had that. The handrail as you enter cannot be trusted. Very very loose. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again. These notes are just to help so the next guests stay is even better. Also there was a note that the dishwasher wasn't working but not sure who left it...the cleaning person or the last guests so we didn't use it.
