"Casa Fernanda" is located in the hamlet of Caprigliola, a medieval village nestled in the green hills of Lunigiana—a stretch of land between Liguria and Tuscany that preserves the authentic flavors of the past and overlooks the Magra River valley.
It is a home with a strong character, tastefully reimagined through a careful renovation.

In front of the entrance, the house features a small area shaded by a grapevine—perfect for enjoying the cool summer evenings. The property is spread over two floors; the ground floor houses the entrance and living area, distinguished by a beautiful stone vault and wonderful exposed chestnut beams. In addition to a table and chairs, this area includes a kitchenette equipped with an oven, refrigerator, and sink (cutlery and cookware are available in the first-floor kitchen). A charming half-bath with a shower completes this level.
Opposite the bathroom, a narrow concrete and terracotta staircase leads to a bedroom furnished with a double bed and two children's beds.
The first floor features another well-equipped kitchen with a Carrara marble countertop, a table, and chairs. This level provides access to a lovely small terrace overlooking the village and the valley.
A wooden staircase leads to the second floor, which opens onto a relaxation area with a sofa and TV; a floor-to-ceiling window offers an enchanting view of the Magra River. This floor also includes a double bedroom, a bathroom with a bidet and washing machine, and a mezzanine area with an additional double bed.
Cool and airy during the summer, this accommodation allows for pleasant shared living without sacrificing privacy. It is ideal for groups of friends and families, although the presence of stairs means that safety for children under three or four years of age cannot be guaranteed without parental supervision.
The house’s strategic location allows for easy access—by a roughly 20-minute drive—to the renowned beaches of Lerici, San Terenzo, and Fiascherino. The Cinque Terre can be reached in less than an hour from the S. Stefano Magra train station, located just minutes from the village of Caprigliola.
Additionally, historic cities such as Genoa, Pisa, Lucca, Forte dei Marmi, and Pontremoli are within easy reach. There is a bar in the village where you can taste and/or purchase local Lunigiana products, while the nearest supermarket is in Santo Stefano Magra.
