San Remo is a working fishing village, and you're right in it. The IGA, pharmacy and bottle shops are about 1.5km away on Marine Parade, so you won't need to drive far for anything. Don't miss the pelican feeding at the jetty — daily around noon, free, and a local institution. Back Beach and Children's Beach are a short stroll along the southern shore.
Cross the bridge and Phillip Island opens up: Cape Woolamai's surf and headland walks, the Penguin Parade at dusk, the Koala Conservation Reserve, Churchill Island's historic farm, and the Grand Prix Circuit — home to MotoGP in October and World Superbikes in February.
