The apartment was newly renovated, very clean and beautifully presented. Everything looked fresh and new, and overall it was a pleasant place to stay.
It wasn’t clear from the listing that the apartment was at basement level and appeared to have been converted from a former shop, studio or commercial unit. There was only one small window, so the apartment became very hot and stuffy, particularly when the sun was out. We couldn’t comfortably leave the window or door open to let in fresh air, and the strong smell of fresh paint made the lack of ventilation worse. No fan was provided.
I messaged the contact number provided but unfortunately received no response. The kitchen could also have been better equipped with more cutlery, pots and other basic utensils. We were surprised that we had to put the duvet covers on ourselves, as this was the first time we had experienced that in rented accommodation. Providing an iron would also have been helpful.
It is a lovely, new apartment, but a few practical improvements and clearer information in the listing would make the stay much more comfortable.
