The location for this property is fantastic, the keys were easy to collect with the key box just outside the door with a short stay cark park directly across the road for dropping off luggage. The lounge and kitchen area is spacious and comfortable, we enjoyed the social space. The garden looked lovely but we didn't use this as it was terrible weather. The shower and bath were great. The beds were comfortable with high quality bedding. Although there are few things we would change, this really is for those staying for longer periods, 1-2 night stays, I am sure would be fine. All in all we had a fantastic stay and we would definitely return, as the location, cleanliness and comfort of the property was great.

When we arrived at the cottage on Friday, there was no heating. As a result, we spent our first night in really cold conditions. On Saturday, we had to have two visits from the Devon Hideaways staff before they eventually managed to get the heating working around lunchtime. This was not ideal, but couldn't be helped and at least they sorted it. It just made the night and morning very uncomfortable due to the cold weather that weekend. The property is spread over three floors and has very steep staircases. The stairs leading to the third floor are particularly steep and could potentially be hazardous. I would strongly recommend adding non-slip strips to the wooden staircase to improve safety and reduce the risk of slipping. I would say anyone with mobility issues, may struggle, as there is also a set of stairs when you enter the front door to reach the cottage itself. There are 3 sets of stairs. The bedrooms are lacking in hanging space and wardrobe facilities. The top-floor bedroom has no wardrobe or hanging rail at all. The two wardrobes downstairs are also extremely small, and the wardrobe in the double bedroom is not even wide enough to accommodate a standard clothes hanger. Both double bedrooms would benefit from proper hanging rails or suitably sized wardrobes, particularly for guests staying for more than one night. The double bedroom on the first floor would benefit from a heavier, thicker curtain. It was quite noisy at night, and a thicker curtain may help to reduce some of the outside noise and improve the sleeping environment. Both double bedrooms do not have a suitable place to sit while getting ready. I had to carry a kitchen chair upstairs to sit in front of the mirror, while my friend staying in the top-floor bedroom had no option but to sit on the floor with a mirror to get ready. The rooms are incredibly spacious so there is room to add a little stool/table.

The property was lovely, location very convenient for local amenities. Clean and well stocked kitchen and nice to have a Welcome Pack. We had a lovely time, thank you.

Some small things would have enhanced or stay: Curtains in the front double bedroom would be nice as the street lights were a bit irritating. Could also do with somewhere to hang towels etc. perhaps some door hooks
