Nestled in the rolling countryside of Noble County, the area around the Lakeside Escape cottage offers a lakeside retreat centered on nearby Seneca Lake—one of Ohio’s largest inland lakes and a popular destination for boating, fishing, and outdoor recreation. The neighborhood is characterized by quiet, wooded surroundings, scattered lake homes, and a relaxed, rural atmosphere that feels far removed from city life yet is a short drive from small towns like Senecaville and Cambridge for dining and essentials. Guests are drawn to the region for its natural beauty, with access to hiking trails, marinas, campgrounds, and seasonal events, making it an ideal setting for those seeking a peaceful getaway with easy access to water activities and scenic Appalachian Ohio landscapes
The shoreline around the lake is public property. If you go to the Seneca Sportsman's Club, right across the main street, you are not allowed to use their docks or picnic tables (they are amenities for the members only). There is a small pathway to the lake that will bring you to a small beach for lake access.
The Seneca Lake OH Lakeside Escape Cottage sits on a property overlooking the lake. Enjoy beautiful views of the lake and colorful sunsets.
The cottage features two bedrooms (1 with Queen bed; 2nd room with full/double bed) and with full bathroom (shower only). An upgraded shower head makes the shower feel luxurious. The cottage has a rustic feel with wood walls, vaulted wood ceiling, and antique furniture. The oversized, covered deck overlooks the lake and feels very comfortable and spacious. The lower patio area features a firepit (and firewood) surrounded by adirondack chairs. It also includes a 4 person hot tub. Under the deck there is patio seating. Inside the basement (separate entrance) is an additional hangout space turned into an entertainment / game room. It includes a TV, 2 tabletop arcade units, a card table, and several board games. The laundry room is also in this basement gameroom space.
Also included for your use are 2 kayaks and a canoe. A golf cart to make your commutes to the lake faster and easier. We have included inflatable lake toys as well. High speed wifi so you can stay connected and stream your favorite TV shows and movies.
Our kitchen is fully equipped with cooking and baking accessories. Appliances include a toaster, Keurig coffee maker, coffee pods, and tea. Propane grill also provided w/propane. All linens (+extras) are provided and extra cozy blankets for those chilly nights.
