The apartment is very conveniently located in the beautiful old town of Stein am Rhein. We found it very clean, very well equipped and quite comfortable. Everything worked well and it was quiet, with good access. The hosts were welcoming through online communication and very quick and helpful in responding to questions.
If you're travelling by train, it's a fifteen minute walk from the station. The lock box was not the easiest thing to open despite excellent instructions from the hosts. A larger table would make eating in the apartment easier and there is nowhere comfortable to sit and relax other than at the table or on the bed. The washing machine is not in the apartment itself but is shared with other residents in the attic and there is no dryer, only drying racks. This works well, but could be clearer in the information and a note to this effect in the apartment would help. And a few hooks for clothes and towels in the otherwise excellent bathroom would be helpful
