About this house rental

Summary:

Wake up to the ocean. This two-storey home sits on the Marino clifftop with water views from the master bedroom, the balcony and the living areas, and a solar-covered pool, spa and covered outdoor dining in the entertaining yard behind it. Three bedrooms plus a media room with projector screen sleep 10, with a dedicated study for anyone working. Coastal walks at the door, beaches minutes away. Please note: some furniture will differ from the photos, see the full note in The Space.

The Space:

THE VIEW

The house earns its position. The master bedroom looks straight out over the water, so the first thing you see each morning is the ocean, and the front balcony catches the same outlook with outdoor seating. Coffee out there as the light comes up, or a drink as it goes down, is the reason to book this place.

UPSTAIRS

The master has a king bed and that view. The second bedroom has a double bed, and the kids room sleeps four across two sets of bunk beds. The media room is the group's night-time headquarters: a double sofa bed for extra guests and a projector screen for movie nights. A dedicated study with a desk and chair means anyone who has to work during the stay has a proper spot to do it, with two bathrooms up here serving the bedrooms.

DOWNSTAIRS

The ground floor is built for a group. The main family and meals area opens around a full kitchen with quality appliances and room to cook properly, and a separate formal lounge gives everyone a second space, so the kids can have the projector while the adults have the quiet room. A guest toilet downstairs saves the trips upstairs.

OUTSIDE

Two zones, two moods. The front balcony is the quiet one, facing the ocean. The rear yard is the loud one: a solar-covered pool with a spa, a big covered outdoor entertaining area with dining under the canopy and a ceiling fan for warm evenings, and a barbecue. Summer sorts itself out here.

Parking is one car on the driveway, with easy street parking right outside.

We believe in being upfront. This home is being prepared for guests and a few things will differ from the current photos. The media room's lounge suite pictured will be replaced with a double sofa bed. The kids room will have two sets of bunk beds; photos show one. The armchair pictured in the master bedroom may differ or not be present. Some artwork and small furnishings may vary. New photos will be added once styling is complete. Everything that matters, the views, the pool, the spaces themselves, is exactly as pictured.

After your booking is confirmed you will be provided a boarding pass link from Airbnb’s trusted partner, ENSO Connect.

Please note that a $550 security deposit (authourised and held by your card provider, not held by us) is required as part of the booking process. Alternatively, if you prefer, we offer a $55 damage waiver.

Guest Access:

The whole home is yours, including the pool, spa and outdoor entertaining area. The garage is not available to guests; parking is one car on the driveway, with easy street parking right outside.

The Neighborhood:

Marino sits on the coast 30 minutes south of the Adelaide CBD. Walk to the clifftop trail and down to the water; Seacliff and Brighton beaches with their cafes and jetty are a few minutes north. Marino train station connects you to the city, and you are at the gateway to the southern beaches and McLaren Vale wine region.

Getting Around:

Marino train station is a short walk away, with a direct line into Adelaide city in around 30 minutes, so you can do a city day without touching the car. Driving, you're 25 to 30 minutes from the CBD and about 20 from Adelaide Airport. The Cove Road and Brighton Road corridors put the southern beaches, Westfield Marion and McLaren Vale's cellar doors all within easy reach. For the closest shops and cafes, Seacliff and Brighton are a few minutes up the road. Rideshare covers the area, and having a car makes the most of the coast, with one driveway park plus easy street parking at the house.

One check before it goes in: the airport time is my estimate off the map, roughly 20 minutes via Brighton Road. If your own runs say otherwise, adjust the number.
