Casa Cris is a thoughtfully designed home for travelers who appreciate good design, local character, and a more authentic side of Rome. Curated by homeowner Cristina, the apartment pairs playful art and beautiful objects with all the comforts of home, creating an easy, welcoming base for exploring the city.
Set just off Via Merulana, Casa Cris makes exploring Rome remarkably easy. Manzoni Metro is a 4-minute walk away, while both Termini Station and the Colosseum can be reached on foot in around 15 minutes.
Closer to home, Esquilino is worth exploring in its own right—a vibrant residential neighborhood filled with markets, independent shops and some of our favorite places to eat and drink, including Casa Dante, Ardecore, Forno Conti, Conti Café, Santedicola and Gastromario.
Step inside and the loft opens onto a bright, well-appointed kitchen, with the bathroom and its walk-in shower discreetly tucked to the left. Beyond, a light-filled living room brings together art, books, games and a generous table for dining, gathering and planning the day ahead.
Behind the kitchen, stairs lead to a lofted bedroom with a queen-size bed, while the second bedroom sits just off the kitchen, with another queen-size bed, a window and built-in storage.
The loft was designed by Dispensabile, a women-led Rome architecture studio known for playful forms and thoughtful functionality, then layered by Cristina with her own collection of art, books and design objects.
