Summary:

Wake up to the water in Klaksvík, the Faroe Islands' second town and the gateway to the northern islands. This bright wooden cabin sits at the water's edge, looking straight across the bay to the harbour, with green mountains rising behind. The town centre, shops and restaurants are a short walk away. A calm, simple base for two — with room for a third — and an easy starting point for hiking, driving the scenic roads, or taking the ferry out to Kalsoy.



The Space:

A detached wooden cabin of 45 m², set up for comfort and simplicity. The bedroom has a double bed (140 x 200 cm) with linen and towels provided. The living room has a sofa bed for a third guest, a smart TV with built-in Chromecast, and board games. The compact kitchen has two induction hobs, an oven, fridge, kettle, coffee machine, toaster and blender. The bathroom has a shower and hairdryer. Outside, a balcony and terrace face the bay.



Guest Access:

Guests have full access to the entire cabin, including a private entrance. The cabin is detached, so the space is entirely yours for the length of your stay.

The Neighborhood:

Klaksvík lies between two fjords on Borðoy, wrapped in steep green mountains and built around a working harbour. It is the second largest town in the Faroe Islands and the natural base for exploring the north. The cabin sits right on the water, minutes on foot from the harbour, supermarket, bakery, swimming pool and a good choice of cafés and restaurants. The Klakkur hike, one of the finest short walks in the country, starts almost from the centre. Central, but calm and residential.



Getting Around:

Thanks to the central location, it’s easy to get around Klaksvík on foot.



Shops, cafés, and supermarkets: within walking distance



Nature trails and outdoor areas: short walk



Ferry to Kalsoy: approx. 10 minutes by car



Tórshavn: approx. 45 min by car



Public transport is available nearby, and if you’re traveling by car, parking options are available close to the apartment.



Other Things to Note:

Check-in is from 4:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM. Please respect the house rules and take out trash before departure.

Would you like to arrive a bit earlier or leave a little later? We provide both early check-in and late check-out for an additional fee. Please reach out in advance to confirm availability.

It is also possible to order a baby cot and a high chair for an additional fee.
