The Brave — 32 feet of freedom, leaving from Quebec's Eastern Townships
This isn't a fleet vehicle. Our Winnebago Brave 32V is a Class A motorhome we chose, restored and upgraded ourselves, and it's the one our own family travels in. Every system has been gone through by an engineer who'd rather fix something properly than fix it fast.
Built for a family
With 5 seatbelted positions and 6 sleeping spots, the Brave comfortably handles a family of five plus luggage, bikes and camping gear. The layout is simple and livable: an open living area, a full kitchen, a bathroom with shower, and a rear bedroom with a real bed — not something you rebuild every night.
Solid mechanicals, modern power
The Brave runs the most respected combination of its generation: a GM 8.1L Vortec engine with an Allison 1000 transmission on a Workhorse chassis. It's stout, it climbs hills without complaining, and it drives far more easily than you'd expect — if you can handle a full-size SUV, you can handle the Brave.
We put it to the test ourselves. Last season we drove the Brave from the Townships all the way to Les Escoumins on the North Shore — up the Saint Lawrence to watch whales — and Route 138 didn't give us a single problem. Long hauls, hills, headwinds along the river: it just went. That's the trip we point to when people ask whether a 20-year-old coach can still do real distance.

You start out less than an hour from Sherbrooke, Magog, Drummondville and Highway 55 — which puts Mont Orford, Lake Memphremagog, the wine route and Mont-Mégantic within easy reach. It's also a strong launch point toward the Gaspé Peninsula, Charlevoix or northern New England.

A full walkthrough happens at pickup: driving, propane, water, electrical, dumping. We take as long as you need, even if this is your first motorhome. And we stay reachable for the whole trip — phone or text — if something comes up on the road.
The Brave is 20 years old and wears it well. This isn't a sterile new rental unit. It's a carefully maintained motorhome with real character, and it'll take you exactly where you want to go.
