About this cabin rental
Our biggest cabin, set on Little Hawk Lake with open water views from the deck. Three bedrooms give everyone a place to land: a queen bedroom, a bunk room with a queen-over-queen bunk, and a third bedroom with two twin beds. Sleeps up to eight comfortably, which makes it a natural fit for two families travelling together, multi-generational trips, or a group of friends who want space to spread out rather than stack into one room.
Inside, the cabin keeps things simple and comfortable — a full kitchen with everything you need to cook real meals, an open living area for card games and rainy afternoons, and one full bathroom. Outside, you get a private deck with a BBQ and seating, the spot where most of the week actually happens: coffee in the morning, burgers at dinner, and the lake going quiet at dusk.
Cabin 4 sits within Little Hawk Resort & Marina, our family-run resort at the end of Little Hawk Lake Road in Ontario's Haliburton Highlands. Guests have use of the sandy beach, campfire area, and hot tub, plus complimentary kayaks, canoes, paddleboats, and paddle boards throughout their stay. Motorboat rentals are available on site if you want to explore the lake further or get out fishing.
Little Hawk is a quiet, clean lake in the Algonquin Highlands, roughly two and a half to three hours from the Greater Toronto Area. Days here tend to look like swimming, paddling, and reading on the dock, with hiking trails, Algonquin Provincial Park, and the shops and restaurants of Haliburton and Minden within easy driving distance.
Good to know:
Dogs under 50 lbs are welcome with prior approval. Long-haired and heavy-shedding breeds are not permitted.
Guests staying in cabins bring their own bed linens and towels. A linen and towel service is available for an added fee.
Summer stays are primarily Saturday to Saturday during peak season. Shorter stays are available in June, September, and October.
