About this apartment rental

Summary:

A stylish, book-lined two-bedroom flat in a handsome red-brick Victorian mansion block on a quiet, leafy Camberwell street. Navy walls, stripped wood floors, an arched window and a digital piano give it real character. Sleeps 4, with a second bedroom that doubles as a workspace and a plant-filled balcony with rooftop views. Moments from King's College Hospital and Denmark Hill station — 15 minutes by train to Victoria or London Bridge — with Camberwell's cafés and pubs on the doorstep.

The Space:

24/7 guest support

Professionally cleaned

Hotel-quality bed linen and towels

A calm, characterful two-bedroom home in a Victorian mansion block. The sitting room has an original fireplace, walls of well-stocked bookshelves, a digital piano and a beautiful arched window that floods the room with afternoon light. The principal bedroom has a comfortable double with a rattan headboard and a botanical feature wall; the second bedroom has a comfortable wall bed and a desk — ideal if you need to work from home (sleeps 4 in total). The bathroom is a stylish affair in blue and brass with a shower over the bath and a heated towel rail, and the kitchen has everything needed for a home-cooked dinner, with a dining table to share it at. Outside, a plant-filled balcony with a bistro table looks out over the rooftops.

Guest Access:

Guests have access to the full property during their stay. Enjoy!

The flat is entirely yours for the stay, accessed via the mansion block's own smart red-brick entrance on Kenbury Street.

The Neighborhood:

Kenbury Street is a quiet, leafy pocket of Camberwell — one of south London's most liked and lived-in neighbourhoods — with Johnnie's, the much-loved diner on the corner of the street, for breakfast. Camberwell Green's cafés, bakeries, pubs and restaurants are a short stroll away, with the galleries of Camberwell College of Arts nearby and Burgess Park's green space around the corner. Peckham's bars and Brixton's markets are both one bus ride away.

Getting Around:

Denmark Hill station is a 10–12 minute walk, with Thameslink and Overground trains reaching London Bridge, Blackfriars and Victoria in around 10–15 minutes. Loughborough Junction is similarly close, and buses run day and night from Camberwell Road and Camberwell New Road to central London, Oval (Northern line) and Elephant & Castle. King's College and Maudsley hospitals are within a few minutes' walk.

Other Things to Note:

Please note the dishwasher is not in use — the kitchen is otherwise fully equipped. This is a quiet residential block, so we ask guests to be considerate of neighbours, particularly in the evenings.
