About this house rental
The living room has a leather sofa, side chair, Samsung smart TV, and lamps with an area rug. The kitchen is open to the living room with a range/oven, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, toaster, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, and electric hot water/tea pot. The kitchen has two stools at the breakfast bar/counter. The first bedroom has a queen bed with down comforter and 4 pillows. The private back patio has 2 Adirondack chairs with cushions and ottomans and side tables, along with a picnic table and 2 benches. Accent lighting on the back patio available for evenings. The first bath has a tub and shower with glass.
Note (especially for parents with young children): The primary bedroom suite is a separate building from the rest of the house by a small, fenced in (not locked) outdoor patio area. View photos for detail.
The house is part of a 2-unit house/duplex, but lives like a small single family home. The home (and all spaces) is fully private from the other side of the duplex, each having their own private entries, driveways/parking, and outdoor spaces separated by fencing.
Marston Hills sits between Hillcrest and North Park on the north edge of Balboa Park. You are a 10-15 minute walk from several grocery options and bars, restaurants and shops in Hillcrest. The Zoo is within walking distance or a short drive. Ocean Beach is 20 minutes drive, and downtown San Diego (Gaslamp, Little Italy, Embarcadero, etc) are under a 10 minute drive.
Walk, Uber/Lyft, or short drive to most San Diego attractions. The area is also very bike friendly.
We have upgraded all of our bedding (pillows, duvets, sheets/linens and towels to Brooklinen branded linens. In addition, all of our toiletries (bath/shower/soaps) are now provided by Public Goods of New York.
Note for longer stays: we provide toiletries and paper products for shorter stays/to get you started. Longer stays will want to plan to supply paper towel, toilet paper, and toiletries, dependent on your personal preferences. We provide several rolls of TP, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, basic bathroom toiletries, and basic cleaning supplies (along with a vacuum and steam sweeper mop). Each guest may have personal preferences or different usage, so we just want to be clear that we provide starter/shorter stay supplies for these items.
