Sleeping up to 10 guests across 5 bedrooms, this unique group accommodation combines striking original chapel features with modern comforts, a private hot tub, pool table, mezzanine snug and enclosed outdoor space.

The flexible bedroom layout makes the property ideal for families, couples, groups of friends and corporate stays.



Bedroom 1

King-size bed, TV, walk-in wardrobe, dressing table and private en-suite shower room.



Bedroom 2

King-size bed with the family bathroom conveniently located next door, featuring a shower and freestanding bath.



Bedroom 3

Zip-and-link bed which can be arranged as either a Super King or 2 Single beds on request, plus a private en-suite shower room.



Bedroom 4

Zip-and-link bed which can be arranged as either a Super King or 2 Single beds on request. Located downstairs, opposite the WC.



Bedroom 5

Cosy single bedroom with a pull-out trundle bed, allowing the room to accommodate up to 2 guests. Located opposite the family bathroom.



Hairdryers and clothes rails are provided in every bedroom.



🛋️ Spacious Living & Entertainment



The spectacular main living area sits at the heart of the chapel, with high ceilings, original architectural details and comfortable seating for the whole group.



Head upstairs to the mezzanine snug for a quieter place to relax. Put on a film, make some popcorn or enjoy one of the family games provided, including Monopoly, The 1% Club and The Traitors.



There are also toys available for younger children.



For something a little more competitive, challenge your group to a game around the dedicated pool table area.

The modern kitchen is fully equipped for group stays, whether you're preparing breakfast before heading into the Yorkshire Dales or sitting down for a celebratory evening meal.



You'll find cookware, utensils and modern appliances provided, including an air fryer and slow cooker.



The dining area offers plenty of space for everyone to eat and socialise together.

Step outside into your own private enclosed outdoor area, complete with comfortable outdoor seating and a private hot tub.

🐶 Dog-Friendly Stay



We welcome up to 2 dogs at The Sanctuary for an additional charge of £25 per dog.



Dog bowls and treats are provided so your four-legged guests feel at home too.



We kindly ask that dogs remain downstairs and are kept off all furniture, including beds and sofas.

The Sanctuary is situated in Bedale, North Yorkshire, ideally positioned for exploring the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and surrounding countryside.



Bedale is often referred to as a gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, making the property an excellent base for countryside walks, days out, picturesque villages and discovering everything North Yorkshire has to offer.



Whether you're planning a relaxing weekend away, a family gathering, a celebration with friends or a longer Yorkshire escape, The Sanctuary provides a truly unique place to stay.



The Sanctuary is yours to enjoy throughout your stay.



Guest Access:

Guests have exclusive access to the entire chapel, including all 5 bedrooms, living areas, kitchen, mezzanine snug, pool table area, private outdoor patio and hot tub.



Other Things to Note:

Please be informed that an external link will be provided to complete the pre-check-in requirements, which include the payment of either the refundable security deposit or the deposit waiver.



Refundable Deposit – £150

A £150 hold will be placed on your card and automatically released after your stay if there are no damages or issues.



Damage Waiver – £30 (non-refundable)

Covers accidental damages up to £30 (e.g., minor scratches, stains, or broken items).



Unreported or intentional damages are not covered and may result in additional charges.



For reservations longer than 14 nights, a mid-stay cleaning is required to help maintain the property’s good condition and ensure standards are consistently upheld throughout the stay. The cost of this mid-stay cleaning is the same as the regular cleaning fee.
