🏖️ WALK TO THE BEACH + VILLAGE

One of our favorite things about Miss Sarah’s is the location. The beach is just 0.4 mile away, and Pier Village and the St. Simons Lighthouse are about 0.5 mile. It’s an easy, flat walk, so there’s no need to pile everyone into the car every time you want to head out.

Walk down to the beach in the morning, wander into the Village for supper or ice cream, and leave the car right where it is.

🌴 THE BACKYARD

The backyard was made for vacation. There’s a private saltwater cocktail pool with an underwater bench, a raised spa, four chaise lounges, and plenty of room to spend the afternoon outside.

Later on, light the fire pit and turn on the string lights. There are six Adirondack chairs around the fire pit, plus an outdoor dining table, umbrella, and natural gas Weber grill if supper outside sounds better than going out.

The backyard is enclosed by a 6-foot privacy fence, and there’s an open-air shower for rinsing off sandy feet and salty kids — grown-ups are welcome too.

❤️ ROOM FOR EVERYBODY

Miss Sarah’s was set up with a big family in mind — enough room to be together without having to be together every minute.

The kitchen, dining room, and living room are all open to one another, so everybody can visit even when some are cooking, some are eating, and some are stretched out on the sofa.

We normally keep 10 chairs around the dining table because everybody appreciates a little elbow room. If all 12 of you want to sit down together, there are two more dining chairs in the office that can be added to the table. There are also four stools at the kitchen island.

Three private king bedrooms are on the main level, all with DreamCloud mattresses. There’s also an open twin room with two twin beds (no door) and three full bathrooms.

And if somebody has to sneak in a little work while everybody else is on vacation, there’s a private office with a door. A second living area gives you another sofa and TV, plus the cocktail arcade table.

For the littlest ones, we keep a high chair and Pack ’n Play at the house, so that's two fewer things you have to fit in the car.

🍳 THE KITCHEN

We wanted the kitchen to be one you could actually use — whether you’re making a big breakfast, packing sandwiches for the beach, or cooking supper at home.

You’ll find stainless appliances, cookware, dishes, and the everyday basics. And we didn't forget the coffee. There’s a Keurig, a traditional coffee maker, and a French press, because apparently one way of making coffee just wasn't enough.

🌊 THE UPSTAIRS RETREAT

The upstairs is its own little retreat. You’ll go outside and up the back stairs to get there — there is no interior staircase connecting it to the main house.

Upstairs you’ll find the fourth private king bedroom, another open twin room with two twin beds (no door), a full bathroom, and its own living area.

There’s also a small kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster, plus a bar with stools. It’s especially handy for morning coffee when you don't feel like heading downstairs just yet.

And you can't miss the old tabby fireplace. It’s decorative now, but we loved it too much not to keep it.

📋 A FEW BOOKING DETAILS

✔️ BOOKING REQUIREMENTS

The primary guest must:

• Be 25 or older and present for the entire stay
• Sign the rental agreement and provide a photo ID within 24 hours of booking
• Share the names of all adult guests staying

🏊 POOL HEATING + CHILLING

The saltwater cocktail pool can be heated or chilled for an additional fee. If you’d like to add either option, please let us know at least 24 hours before your arrival so we have time to get the pool ready for you.

🌊 ABOUT THE UPSTAIRS RETREAT

The upstairs retreat is accessed by going outside and up the back stairs. There is no interior staircase connecting it to the main house, so please make sure that setup works well for your group.

🚗 PARKING

There’s room for up to 4 vehicles between the main driveway and side pea-gravel parking area. All vehicles need to stay on the property — no street parking.

🗑️ YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT TRASH DAY

Someone may stop by to roll the garbage cans to the street and bring them back afterward. You’re on vacation — we'll take care of that part.

🌿 A LITTLE BEHIND-THE-SCENES CARE

Our pool and lawn folks may stop by during your stay to keep everything looking the way it should. They may need to enter the fenced backyard, but they'll stay outside and try not to interrupt your time at the house.

🧺 WE'VE GOT YOU COVERED

Fresh white linens, bath towels, and pool towels will be waiting, along with a few starter supplies so you don't have to unpack the car before you can settle in:

• Toilet paper
• Paper towels
• Trash bags
• Dishwashing + laundry pods
• Hand soap
• Shampoo, conditioner + body wash
• Starter supply of coffee

For a longer stay, you'll probably want to pick up a few extras along the way.

📺 YOUR SHOWS, YOUR PASSWORDS

The Roku Smart TVs are set to Guest Mode, so you can sign into your own streaming services. We don't provide cable, so bring those passwords along.

📹 SECURITY CAMERA

A Ring camera on the left side of the house monitors the front driveway and has a small view of the front door. There are no other cameras anywhere on the property.

🌴 A LITTLE BIT OF ISLAND LIFE

We have regular professional pest service, but this is coastal Georgia. You may occasionally see a palmetto bug, mosquito, lizard, or another little island visitor. Consider it one of the less glamorous ingredients of island life.

⛈️ COASTAL WEATHER + TRAVEL INSURANCE

Island weather can sometimes have plans of its own. Tropical storms and hurricanes are possible, particularly during hurricane season, and severe weather can affect travel, utilities, and local services.

We strongly encourage travel insurance, especially during hurricane season. Be sure to choose coverage that fits your needs and read the policy carefully before purchasing.

⏰ NEED A LITTLE EXTRA TIME?

When our schedule allows, we're happy to offer early check-in or late check-out for an additional fee. They aren't always possible during busy periods or between back-to-back stays, but we're always glad to check.
