The Space:

Outer Moorings is a welcoming two-bedroom holiday home in beautiful Gorran Haven, perfectly positioned for a relaxing Cornish escape. Set on the quieter, less steep southern side of the village, the beach is just 300 metres away - around a five-minute walk from the doorstep.



Modern, comfortable and arranged on one level, the property is ideal for families and couples alike. At the heart of the home is a well-equipped kitchen diner with everything needed for easy self-catering, including a double oven, microwave, coffee machine and dishwasher.



Next door, the cosy living room provides the perfect place to unwind after a day by the sea. Settle in for a film on the smart TV, enjoy the selection of board games or light the eco-friendly bioethanol fire on cooler evenings.



There are two comfortable bedrooms: a king room and a twin, with ample clothing storage. These share a modern family bathroom with a bath and overhead shower.



Outside, the charming multi-level Cornish garden is a real highlight, featuring traditional planting, a slate patio, outdoor seating and BBQ. Perfect for sunny lunches and evening drinks.



Private driveway parking for one car, a rare bonus in Gorran Haven, makes exploring Cornwall easy while allowing you to leave the car behind for beach days.

The Neighborhood:

Gorran Haven is a wonderful base for a Cornish seaside escape, surrounded by beautiful beaches, dramatic coastal scenery and some of the county’s best-loved attractions.



The South West Coast Path is easily accessible from the village, allowing you to set off in either direction for spectacular clifftop walks, secluded coves and far-reaching views across the sea. Around a 30-minute walk along the coast path, or a short drive away, is the magnificent Vault Beach. This long, unspoilt stretch of sand is perfect for swimming, picnics and peaceful days beside the sea.



Another local favourite is Caerhays Beach, overlooked by historic Caerhays Castle and its beautiful gardens, which are particularly impressive during the spring displays of camellias and magnolias.



Some of Cornwall’s most famous attractions are also within easy reach. Spend a day exploring the enchanting Lost Gardens of Heligan, with its woodland trails, subtropical gardens and iconic sculptures, or venture to the Eden Project to discover its remarkable biomes and gardens.



For a taste of traditional Cornwall, visit the nearby fishing villages of Mevagissey and Portloe, where picturesque harbours, seafood restaurants and boat trips await. Mevagissey is also home to a fascinating museum celebrating its maritime heritage. Nearby Portmellon is a quieter coastal spot, with watersports available and a welcoming waterfront pub.



Back in Gorran Haven, the village’s sandy beach is ideal for swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. Keep an eye on the water and surrounding cliffs, where seals and seabirds can often be spotted.

Getting Around:

Due to the remote nature of Gorran Haven, we recommend having a vehicle for the most enjoyable stay. Private parking is available on the driveway for one vehicle.



There is also a large paid car park in the village for overflow. Pricing is reasonable at £3-£5/day out of season, and £5-£8/day in season. All vehicles are welcome, including boats with trailers.
