Welcome to Old Keig Farmhouse, our newly renovated farmhouse located in the quiet Aberdeenshire countryside, and 10 minutes from the town of Alford. The property is set across two floors and has an extensive garden with lawn surrounding the Farmhouse. We sleep 8 guests across 4 bedrooms, and welcome pets strictly on the ground floor of the property only.
On entering Old Keig Farmhouse, guests are welcomed into the modern, open-plan kitchen. The Kitchen is well-equipped with everything you will need for self-catering stays, including a double oven, electric hob, dishwasher, and plenty of fridge and freezer space for storing groceries. There is an adjoining dining area with a large table seating up to 8 guests. We also have a cafetiere and borlotti coffee pot, so you can enjoy a delicious cup of coffee on your arrival.
Across the hallway from the dining area, guests can find our cosy living room, featuring comfortable sofas and a large bay window with stunning views overlooking the surrounding farmland and hills. There is a smart TV with Freeview access and services such as Netflix and Disney+ available for streaming TV or films, along with a selection of board games.
We have a quiet Office on the ground floor, with desk space should our guests need to work during their stay.

On the first floor of the Farmhouse, we have four bedrooms sleeping 8 guests in total. Bedrooms 1 & 2 face the front side of the property and have luxurious superking-size beds. Bedroom 3 has a king-size bed, while bedroom 4 has two single beds. All bedrooms have plenty of storage space for unpacking during your stay, and feature quality mattresses for a comfortable sleep. All beds are made up with luxurious hotel-quality linens for our guests.

There are two bathrooms at Old Keig Farmhouse, one on the landing and one on the ground floor. The first-floor shower room features a walk in rainfall shower, sink and toilet. Downstairs, the bathroom has a large bath with handheld shower head, toilet and sink. Soft towels and cosy robes are provided for all guests, along with luxurious toiletries from Scottish Fine Soaps.

A downstairs Utility Room completes the property, with a washing machine and tumble dryer for guest use.

A private garden surrounds the property, with areas of lawn and trees providing dappled shade on sunny days. There are beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and Aberdeenshire hills. Please note that the property is not fully enclosed, with sections of the garden open to the neighbouring fields, which will not be suitable for all dogs.


Old Keig Farmhouse is located in beautiful Aberdeenshire and is a 10 minute drive from the town of Alford, where guests can find supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants and attractions such as museums and parks. There are a great network of cycling routes, mountain biking trails and walking routes around the property, accessible right from the doorstep. There is a great range of things to do in the areas surrounding the Farmhouse, with beautiful castles nearby, such as Craigievar Castle.

With Scotland being renowned for it’s stunning golf courses, there are several located in Aberdeenshire with Alford gold course only a short drive from Old Keig Farmhouse.
Royal Deeside and the Cairngorm National Park are a short drive from the property, with towns such as Aboyne, Ballater, Braemar and Banchory around 30 minutes away by car. The famous Scottish Malt Whisky trail is a fantastic day trip, exploring a range of distilleries through the stunning countryside.
Aberdeen City and Aberdeen Airport is also approximately 35 minutes by car.
