The Space:

BETWEEN THE OCEAN AND THE ESTUARY



There are beach houses, and then there are places whose setting becomes part of the vacation.



Serene Oaks sits on an extraordinary stretch of East Beach where 9th Street is only nine homes wide between the Atlantic Ocean and an approximately 1,000-acre coastal bird estuary.



Walk eight homes in one direction and a natural dune path leads toward the beach. Look the other way from the upper deck and the landscape opens through the trees toward the estuary.



This is St. Simons Island at its best. Salt air, moss draped oaks, mornings on the beach and long afternoons with nowhere you need to be.



And Serene Oaks was made for exactly that kind of stay.



THE COURTYARD



At the center of the home is a secluded, resort style courtyard designed for spending the day outside.



Swim in the private saltwater pool. Stretch out on one of eight matching reclining loungers beneath four umbrellas. Sink into the oversized spa after the beach. Grill dinner on the Weber, gather around the terrazzo fire table, or linger over dinner at the outdoor table for eight.



It feels less like a backyard and more like having your own private little hotel pool for the week.



THE HOME



Inside, more than 4,100 square feet gives families and friends room to be together without being on top of one another.



The kitchen is built for a full house, with a large gathering island, premium appliances, gas range, multiple ovens, wine refrigerator, butler’s pantry and a second full size refrigerator and freezer.



There is plenty of room for slow breakfasts, big family dinners, cocktails before heading into the Village and all the snacks that somehow follow a day at the beach.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Serene Oaks is located in East Beach, one of St. Simons Island's most sought-after coastal neighborhoods.

This particular portion of 9th Street is especially unusual. The street is only nine homes wide between the Atlantic Ocean and an approximately 1,000-acre coastal bird estuary.

The 9th Street Beach access is just eight homes away, approximately a five-minute walk from the house. Follow the quiet residential street to a natural dune path leading directly to the beach.

From the home's upper deck, guests can enjoy partial views through the trees toward the estuary.

East Beach offers a peaceful residential atmosphere while keeping guests within easy reach of the restaurants, shopping, Pier Village, golf and attractions throughout St. Simons Island.



Getting Around:

The best way to get around the South end of the Island is by golf cart. Golf carts are easily rented for the duration of your stay by one of many rental companies on the island. Beach Cruisers can also be rented and dropped off at the home. The Village, pier and shops are 2 miles from the home.

• Serene Oaks comfortably accommodates up to 12 guests.



• The home includes five private, enclosed bedrooms plus an upstairs TV and sleeping lounge with two twin beds.



• Pool and spa heating is available for $75 per day. One heating fee covers the pool, oversized spa or both. Please request heating in advance so everything can be ready for your stay.



• The oversized spa comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests.



• Like many coastal homes, Serene Oaks has a climate control system designed for Georgia’s warm, humid environment. To keep the home comfortable and protect the system, thermostats should remain at 70°F or above.



• Serene Oaks is not pet friendly.



• This is a peaceful residential East Beach neighborhood. We simply ask guests to enjoy the outdoor spaces with the same consideration they would want from their own neighbors.
